The air microphone AirCapt is generally used in addition to a contact microphone. It is a very small microphone designed to be placed closer to the sound source for more gain, less feedback and ambient sounds. Particularly suited to acoustic stages, it faithfully and very naturally reproduces the sound of your instrument with precision, dynamics and allows comfortable levels on stage without microphone stand, but it is generally used only for the front in addition with a contact mic. It is usually placed on a foot of the bridge.

The J48ACB below is the best-selling of this category. This system can be powered by phantom power and provide a balanced signal with a Jack-Stereo / XLR cable. It can also with the 9v battery option, operate with a standard mono jack cable. It is then powered by the 9v battery automatically for about 500 hours of use. The battery will not discharge in the presence of phantom power.

Another option with the J48CCB, without 9v battery option the system works on phantom power, the Jack output is balanced. With the 9v battery option (fixed behind the tailpiece), the system also works with a unbalanced mono jack, useful to go to an amp that does not have XLR inputs or effects pedals for example.

starstarstarstarstarHervé CalvayracJ’amplifie ma contrebasse ¾ avec un micro ISCHELL X-Jack. Le résultat est au-delà de toute espérance (en association avec un ampli Schertler jam 200). Le son acoustique est vraiment la, pas de déformation, chaleur du son de ma contre et précision sont au rendez- vous . La pose est délicate et m’a demandé pas mal de temps, il faut être précis et patient, il semble même que j’ai eu un soucis de micro plutôt rare, mais l’aide d’Ischell a été rapide et efficace, cela vaut vraiment la peine de se donner du temps pour l’installation, car après ce n’est que du bonheur, le résultat est époustouflant. Je remercie au passage Ischell pour la gentillesse et le grand professionnalisme à mon égard.

starstarstarstarstarThe X jack allows the Phantom powered XLR jack to be side by side with a powered 1/4in jack. Maximum versatility, plug and play, plus the jack is well designed and work really well. The 9v is not as hot a sound as the XLR jack (9v vs. 48v) but it is great to have if you may be using amps without phantom power. I am really glad I ordered this version. The pickup (c on my bass is the best pickup I have used. I highly recommend it.

starstarstarstarstar Je l’ai depuis 2 mois sur ma contrebasse et j’en suis complètement satisfait. En effet, il faut pendre le temps de la positionner, mais après c’est que du bonheur. je l’utilise sur le suitcase de phil jones et ça assure grave…. Aussi, lors de boeufs, je l’ai utilisé sur d’autres ampli , sans problème.
Petit bémol: c’est la couleur de la pate à fixe BLANCHE. En effet, elle est performante. MAIS elle sera de couleur NOIRE, ce serait plus harmonieux.

starstarstarstarstar Le micro aérien en plus du micro de contact Ischell sur ma contrebasse, le résultat est terrible, !
1 – En enregistrement
2 – Couplage sur scène possible mais statique uniquement en façade
3 – Le statique seul pour son acoustique Arco… Trio… Sans batteur…..Génial !!

starstarstarstarstar J’ai répété aujourd’hui avec le micro Ischell que je viens d’acquérir, j’ai été surpris et ravi de constater la fidélité et la puissance sans larsen et sans compression du micro X48C. 3 réglages de coupe-bas sont installés dans la prise XLR. J’ai choisi la coupure à 360Hz. J’ai fait des essais et j’ai comparé le son en mutant le canal. Le résultat est surprenant, le son acoustique de ma contrebasse est quasiment, à 95 pour cent le même avec et sans le micro. Je peux ainsi jouer assez fort sans dénaturer son vrai son. Le fait que ce soit un statique doit y être pour beaucoup, un piezzo ne transmet que des vibrations, avec ce vrai micro, on entend bien tous les sons annexes ou même parasites de l’instrument: glissendi, frisés, claquements de cordes, sans que cela gêne, bien au contraire.

Le second point de satisfaction est le fait qu’aucun autre instrument de l’orchestre ne repisse dans ce micro, grâce à son isolation phonique.
Le troisième point positif, c’est que ce matériel est fabriqué en France par un homme compétent et avec lequel on peut parler de ses recherches sonores et musicales.
C’est la première fois que je suis réellement satisfait de l’amplification de ma contrebasse. Merci infiniment
